Rote Island Huts is a social enterprise that exists to offer unforgettable surfing holidays whilst ensuring the local community benefit from tourism via associated charity Mercy Huts

To serve this vision, we are creating a purpose-built education and community centre in Rote Island, Indonesia. ‘Imagine Learning Centre’ (ILC) enables children to learn, grow and play together, provides after school activities to integrate local and expat children and is a place where environmental and community projects flourish.

Currently programs run in multiple locations/leased spaces as we are currently in the planning and development stage for a custom built centre which will bring all to one site. Construction will cost $55,000 and, once complete, it will be a learning centre for children and young adults offering courses in English, hospitality, kitchen hygiene, environmental preservation, health and waste management.
